HWHW Hydroponics Project Moving Along

This summer, we are pleased with the results of our test garden using the Vertigro system. Our research partner, Bruce Stelow, a master gardner is doing a great job of babysitting our system to record our results as the various experimental plants continue to grow. More later.

Ben is heading for Africa May 31

To all our ministry friends,

Ben is headed to Africa on May 31 and return on July 3.

While there, Ben will meet up with Rich Richardson from Columbia and Otto Helweg to gather information as to the feasibility of the World Water Alliance Life Center. As you know, we already have equipment on the ground for one such center and we will be laying plans to install the system on a future trip provided our research indicates success.

Each Life Center will consist of a water purification plant to manufacture and sell water at a vastly reduced price from norm. In addition, each Life Center will set up a bakery to manufacture products for sale using the ovens developed at the Kigali Institute of Science and Technology.

And finally, the life center can be expanded to include other types of training, teaching, and loving opportunities, all with the total goal of sharing Jesus and His incredible love in as many ways as possible. We hope each center can eventually be a place to supplement or plant churches while providing income for the clergy of local churches.

While in Rwanda, we want to also begin to show women in the Mothers Unions how to make handmade paper. We have several opportunities to develop products for them after they learn including wrapping paper, beads, and gift items.

Then, on to Kenya where I will continue to work on Jeremiah Jewelry to see how to expand there. Jeremiah Jewelry is such a blessing, and although it is a business, it does not seem that way to me. We get such good response and Carolyn is just great at working in this type of project. She works very hard but is delighted to do so for the reasons it was brought into existence. Our partners in Kenya are wonderful and we just feel overblessed with this one. The new website is delayed until I get back but sometime in the future, visit www.jeremiahjewelry.com.

While in Kenya, I will also be teaching a course on the foundations of the bible and also how to use drama to share the word of the Lord. My daughter in law, Julie, is a drama major and taught children's drama at Rutgers. She has schooled me just a little on the positive effect of drama on children so I am going to attempt to reach in unknown territory to learn more about how to make this work. In any case, I simply want to be totally obedient to the Lord and see where it goes. Please pray for this project because I am in unknown waters, simply willing to learn.

Wish every one of you could go with me but most especially my wife, Carolyn who must stay here due to the success of Jeremiah Jewelry. It is all too exciting for words.

May God Richly Bless Each and Every One of You and Your Loved Ones,

Good Possibility for HWHW

A priest friend showed me this site and told me that he has connections with this group which may be very valuable in the future of HWHW and World Water Allicance. Visit www.icm.org to learn more about this amazing group and what they do.

A New Possibility for HWHW

Looking ahead to our possible work in Rwanda and Tanzania, Larry Resh has agreed to pray about becoming our main man for well drilling information. If he takes the job, he would travel to Texas and perhaps other places to learn all about well drilling with the portable rig that is designed for mission field work.

Megavoice

One of my priest friends recently told me about this product and a way to get real discounts for use in Africa to teach the bible. Check out this site and we can talk about it more. www.megavoice.com. Have a great day!!

HWHW Project in Tanzania from AMIA Conference

A dentist from Panama City, FL and a Bishop from a dry area of Tanzania approached us to gather information about the possibility of increasing the clean water for the people of a certain region where it may be possible to dig wells but not much in the way of river or stream water. We proposed an assessment tour of the area to see what could be done to help them. This could be an exciting project for the people of this area and for HWHW.

AMIA Winter Conference Project in Rwanda

At the conference, we were asked to go to the Lake Kivu area of Rwanda for an assessment of what could be done to help the clean water challenge. On our next trip, we intend to go there for a church group in Chattanooga, TN.
